Boxing and Mentoring Training Workshop (train the trainer)
AEF have successfully attracted funding for ‘Boxsmart On the Ropes’ courses across Essex. These pre-prepared courses are delivered by organisations with the skills to do so and supported by AEF in the delivery. We are now looking to widen the number of organisations with the skills to deliver this course for further interventions in the future. In order to fulfil demand, we are looking for organisations such as yours to undertake this training and be certified as able to carry out this funded work.
Organisations are invited to attend a full day course covering key elements of combat sports combined with guided mentoring to support young people. Instruction will follow a fully accredited Boxing England training formula with an experienced and qualified instructor.
In addition, Active Essex Foundation will provide a refresher session around the Streetgames, Loughborough and Youth Endowment Fund 10 Criteria for designing and implementing Sports Based Interventions (Theory of Change October 2020)
This is an exciting opportunity for organisations to upskill staff in the ability to deliver the ASDAN accredited ‘BoxSmart - On the Ropes’ course, which is adaptable for both Sport and Youth Crime and Sport and Youth Mental Health Programmes.
Participants will require comfortable clothing and suitable footwear for taking part in boxing/ physical activity sessions, water bottle and snack if required.
Hot and cold drinks including lunch will be supplied.
Spaces are available for up to 20 participants, however, only one from each organisation will be able to attend due to demand for this qualification.

Please contact Jim White at [email protected] if you have any questions about the session.
